Hellscream lived. Vereesa abandoned her. The sorrow was agonizing, and Sylvanas feared it would kill her.
She couldn't go to Nathanos tonight. He would've worried too much. Sylvanas saw the worry on his face already, when she said that Vereesa would no longer be joining him. No, she needed someone to not care. To comply, and to do nothing else but comply.
